Meet Dr. Tran

j_tranIt was inevitable that Dr. Jessica Tran would choose naturopathic medicine over the conventional medical degree. Family members who introduced her to alternative medicine plus a curiosity about the science underlying natural remedies combined to set the path. After earning undergraduate degrees in both Biological Sciences and Social Ecology with a concentration in Epidemiology and Public Health from the University of California, Irvine, she received her naturopathic medical degree from Bastyr University near Seattle. Post-graduate work included an accredited family practice residency and a three-year environmental medicine fellowship program. Dr. Tran was a clinical faculty member in the Departments of Environmental Medicine and General Medicine at Southwest College of Naturopathic Medicine & Health Sciences in Tempe, AZ. She continues to be a practicing clinician researcher, physician educator, and an education and curriculum developer for medical organizations.

A family doctor at heart, Dr. Tran treats adults and children of all ages with a focus in environmental medicine. The field of naturopathic medicine emphasizes wellness and the prevention of disease, thus giving her an opportunity to influence the lives of her patients in beneficial ways and to watch them enjoy years of good health under her care. She is also an author and speaker, with a special interest in public policy.
